Impact tests of infill materials — TSÚS
The safety of a railing is not only about a strong structure, but also that the infill withstands an impact. Our infills are tested at the Technical and Test Institute for Construction (TSÚS) — an accredited Slovak testing laboratory for construction products.
What is tested
The railing infill’s resistance to impact by soft and hard bodies (impact test) — simulating the load that can realistically occur on a balcony.
Which infills
Safety glass, DIBOND / ALUPANEL, HPL boards (Fundermax), aluminium sheet and polycarbonate — testing verifies that the given infill meets the requirements for apartment buildings.
Why it matters
A test at TSÚS is independent proof that the railing protects people from falling and meets applicable building standards. For the manager and owners’ association it is reassurance when approving the project.
